Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Purpose-built homes designed for greater independence
Specialist Disability Accommodation is housing designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA homes include specialised features — such as wheelchair access, wider doorways, accessible bathrooms and assistive technology — that make everyday living safer and easier.
Funding
SDA is a NDIS capital support for eligible participants and relates to the home itself, separate from the supports delivered within it. Our team can help you understand your eligibility.
How we help
We work with approved housing providers and developers to connect you with quality SDA homes across Queensland and NSW, matched to your needs, goals and lifestyle. You may choose to live independently or share with compatible housemates.
Choice and control
SDA housing is funded separately from your support services. That separation gives you greater flexibility — you can choose or change your support provider while keeping your home stable and secure.
