Short Term Accommodation (STA)

Short Term Accommodation (formerly known as “respite”) provides a supportive environment for a brief stay away from home, ensuring comfort and care.

During your stay, you’ll receive personal care assistance and meals, supported by NDIS funding under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life.

Eligibility for STA funding is assessed case-by-case by the NDIS. If aligned with your goals, funding for STA may be included in your plan, with a maximum duration of 28 days per year.

Enjoy a range of activities during your stay, from movies to dining out, beach visits, and sports. We can also guide you on local activities in your area for added enjoyment.

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) provides temporary housing while awaiting long-term solutions, funded by the NDIS for stays of up to three months.

MTA funding falls under Core Supports in your NDIS plan, assessed individually based on its necessity and alignment with your needs and goals.

At Orange Health Care, we offer MTA to individuals in various situations, including awaiting home modifications, transitioning from hospital or aged care, experiencing a breakdown of informal support, or awaiting a vacancy in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
